Jose Daniel Freixas

Jose Daniel is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and real estate associate with the My Block Team within The Riley Smith Group at Compass. Throughout his two-decade career in the entertainment and media industry, Jose Daniel has produced and developed film and television projects alongside Academy Award-winning actors and filmmakers. He has also produced theater plays and developed book projects that have found resonance in the literary world, collaborating with New York Times best-selling authors and Pulitzer Prize-winning writers.
 
Along the way, he has been at the forefront of high-stakes business, orchestrating and navigating multi-million-dollar bidding wars and spearheading groundbreaking projects with some of Hollywood's most esteemed studios, production companies, and agencies. Throughout the past decade, he has also been active in the real estate investment business, involved in all facets of his family’s real estate investment property transactions, as well as buying and selling his own investment properties.
 
Leveraging a wealth of experience and expertise, Jose Daniel channels his creative storytelling ability and strategic insights to effectively market properties, collaborate with agents, and guide clients through the buying and selling process. Drawing parallels between the worlds of entertainment and real estate, Freixas can orchestrate and execute transactions of any scale with vibrancy, collaboration, and professionalism.
 
Jose Daniel is further leveraging his experience and expertise in the entertainment and media industry by launching My Block Media with his brother and Principal of the My Block Team, Guillermo Freixas Jr. My Block Media is a real estate media company that is developing and producing podcasts, scripted and unscripted programming, as well as branded content for various platforms. Jose Daniel and Guillermo are also actively involved in creating and investing in real estate development and preservation projects through their company, Ancestor Projects.
 
A Coral Gables native, Jose Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Motion Pictures from the University of Miami and is fluent in Spanish.
